The new Dialogic® Blue™ Product Line is aimed at the needs for the Open Source market.
At the moment the Blue Product Line consists of 5 members, the Dialogic® Blue™ OneSpan-24/30-S-LP, Dialogic® Blue™ OneSpan-24/30-H-HL, Dialogic® Blue™ TwoSpan-48/60-H-HL, Dialogic® Blue™ FourSpan-96/120-H-HL and Dialogic® Blue™ EightSpan-192/240-H-HL Telephony Boards.
The naming of the boards are according to the following schema: "OneSpan" stands for 1 E1/T1 ports with 24 or 30 channels, "TwoSpan" stands for 2 ports, and so forth up to "EightSpan" for 8 ports. "S" stands for software echo cancellation (free of charge), "H" stands for hardware echo cancellation (EC), "LP" stands for Low Profile form-factor and "HL" stands for Half Length form-factor.
The supported features are well suited for Interactive Voice Response (IVR) along with call transfer emulation, G.711 support, Automatic Gain Control (AGC), and echo cancellation.
The Blue Telephony Boards with Hardware echo cancellation do not need Host based EC. Therefore, they will be able to run on low performance host systems which consume less energy.
NOTE: Dialogic Blue OneSpan-24/30-S-LP Telephony Board has no on-board CPU and no on-board DSPs. The host CPU provides the computing power for the functionality that an application requires. In the case that EC (software) is required the host CPU must be carefully selected to provide an appropriate feature set and system load capabilities. A system with 3MB L3 cache and 2.26GHz processor speed and 4 GB of DDR3 memory, for example, should be sufficient for most applications that require EC.
The Blue Telephony Boards are supported under the Linux operating system.
Applications such as large conferencing servers with echo cancellation (EC) normally require a more powerful host system and possibly more powerful telephony boards. Great care has been taken to allow for an easy upgrade from Dialogic® Blue™ Telephony Boards to Dialogic® Diva® Media Boards when increased scalability or an extended feature set is required.
